About The Author

Naba Bikram Kishore Tripura

Naba Bikram Kishore Tripura was Secretary, Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs and Chairman, Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board. He was also Chairman, Board of Governors, International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), Kathmandu. He obtained his Masters degree in English Literature with honours in BA from Dhaka University. He graduated from National Defence College, Mirpur and Swedish National Defence College, Stockholm. He is Founder-President of Bangladesh Adventure Foundation. Prior to his placement as Secretary he was Additional Inspector General of Police.

He writes on different issues and topics, wrote a few books and edited many books and journals. He was Editor in Chief of 'The Detective' and currently Editor of 'Adventure' magazine. Chittagong Hill Tracts: Long Walk to Peace and Development, Chittagong Hill Tracts: Journey towards Peace and Prosperity, রেগেখেয়ং, পার্বত্য চট্টগ্রাম : বন পাহাড়ের সাত-সতের, পার্বত্য চট্টগ্রামের উন্নয়ন রূপকল্প, চরণ রেখা তব etc, are some of the books and anthologies edited by him.

In connection with seminars, symposium and conference Naba Bikram Kishore Tripura visited many countries of the world and represented Government of Bangladesh consecutively four times in United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII). He is fond of traveling, reading, angling and has active interest in music, movies, sports and literature.
