The great leader, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman declared the Independence of Bangladesh in the early hours of March 26, 1971. Since then, this day has been observed as the Independence Day of Bangladesh.
Heeding to his clarion call three million people sacrificed their lives in a bloody struggle, following which the country emerged as a free sovereign nation on December 16, 1971. In this phenomenon, we have immeasurable, substantial, and notable documents at home and abroad.
More than 130 reports about this declaration had been published in the leading world press and documented as a historical event. But some people with vested interests and ulterior motives have continued to spread disinformation and smear campaigns on the issue.
This Book, which is the end result of a research project has documented evidence from 50 countries around the world and unquestionably portrays Bangabandhu as the glorious leader who declared the independence of Bangladesh, leading to the freedom of the country. We think this book will put an end to the controversy over the Declaration of Bangladesh Independence.
