About The Author
Ali Riaz
Ali Riaz teaches political science at Illinois State University, USA where he holds the University Professor designation. He has previously taught at universities in Bangladesh and in the United Kingdom, and worked as a Broadcast Journalist at the BBC World Service in London. Riaz served as a Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars at Washington D.C. in 2013. His recent publications include Lived Islam and Islamism in Bangladesh (2017) and Bangladesh: A Political History since Independence (2016).
