The Sundarban is famous for the Bengal Tiger, not the birds. However, Sundarban is the wealthiest bird kingdom of all the forests in Bangladesh, which is also true. The Sundarban is an undisturbed sanctuary for more than 300 out of 700 birds in Bangladesh's bird list. There is no end to the curiosity about exactly how many species of birds there are in the Sundarban. Ignoring the enormity of environmental adversity and human indiscretions, how many birds survive, what birds migrate in this forest, and which breed here in the Sundarban. Individuals or a few organizations have made observations, research, and statistics on Birds of the Sundarban. Although there are periodic censuses of tigers, crocodiles, and dolphins in the Sundarban, there has never been a single census of birds. In this book, 'Birds of the Sundarban', we have included visual information for 269 birds. We are not saying that there are only 269 birds in the Sundarban. Here we have highlighted the information about the birds we received directly or indirectly. Our idea is that there are probably more species of birds in the Sundarban; maybe we haven't seen them.
