Not a Utopia : State of Affairs in Bangladesh and the World

"There is no utopia anywhere in the world, except in human imagination. Mankind could aspire to it if the state of affairs were not as dismal as they are, because of human folly and shortsightedness. The articles in this anthology deal with subjects that are under great stress, even imperilled, because of wrong and self-serving policies. These make for grim reading. but also hold out a ray of hope. The sense of redemption lies in the realisation that mankind, nationally and internationally, being behind these blights, can also undo or mitigate them. Going through narratives of nightmares and dystopia, readers may yet have the urge to leave these behind, daring to have dreams of a better place and life in it. The book, in highlighting despair and angst, may kindle a desire to overcome past failures, it is hoped.
