Sheikh Hafizur Rahman Karzon

Sheikh Hafizur Rahman Karzon Born in December 1969 of a reputed family. He studied in a number of schools ds his father held an official position of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) which required transfer from one district to another every three/four years. The writer was the first boy of Jessore Zilla School and a brilliant student of Dhaka College. He passed his LL.B. (Hons) and LL.M. from the Law Department of the Dhaka University. He placed second in the first class in the Masters examination. When studying Law, he worked as journalist in the Daily Ajker Kagoj and the Daily Sangbad. After completion of his study he joined as full-time reporter in the Daily Sangbad, the newspaper which has been reputed for its standard of journalism, language quality and literary activities. Most of the famous writers of the 60s, 70s and 80s, it is told, has been the creation of this landmark newspaper. The writer got the Reporters' Unity President Award in 1996 for his investigative reporting. The writer joined the Law Department of Chittagong University in 1998 as Lecturer. In July, 2000 the writer joined the Law Department of Dhaka University as Lecturer and became Assistant Professor of the same Department in October 2005. Currently the author is regularly writing in the Daily Star, the Daily Prothom Alo, the Daily Jogantor and the Daily Samokal. He is the editor of the Journal of Law. Apart from writing columns in the newspapers and conducting research works, the writer is involved in creative writings and social activities.
