Dr. Anichha Parvin Jolly is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of History, Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka-1342, Bangladesh. She obtained her Ph.D. on the issue of `Rethinking Women’s Political Participation in Bangladesh (1973-2014): An Intersectional Analysis of Exclusion and Inclusion' from Centre for the Study of Discrimination and Exclusion (CSDE), School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Dr. Parvin has been teaching at Jahangirnagar University since 2009. Her main research interests are studying Gender Relations, Identity Politics, South Asian Society & Culture, and Political Violence against Women in Bangladesh. Representation of women, religious and ethnic Minorities in electoral politics of Bangladesh is another topic that grows her attention as well. She is also supervising M.phil & Ph.D. researchers and has been arranging training on qualitative research on Violence against Women in Bangladesh. In addition to this, she is working as a Research Director at Jana-Itihash Charcha Kendra, Bangladesh.
