Mohibul Alam He is devoted writer. He was born in Gobindganj, Sylhet District, Bangladesh, but his ancestral home is in Kazibari, Muradnagar Sadar, Comilla. Mohibul, a postgraduate in Bengali language and literature from Dhaka University, has been living abroad for many years. After living in New Zealand for about seventeen years, he has now settled in Gold Coast, Australia. Mohibul Alam is a novelist and short story writer. His most notable novels include Talpatar Puthi, Jora Sinthi Nadi Tere, Ishwar, and Rajkanya, as well as short story collections such as Tithikshay O Akashganga, Unisher Shekar Katha, and Nadiban O Koshter Panch Angul. Where the River Flows is his first bilingual poetry book. He received the Bangla Academy's Young Writer Project Award in 1998 for his first storybook, Tithikshay O Akash- ganga. Since then, he has received several other literary awards and honours, both in Bangladesh and abroad, for his diverse body of work. Drawing from these experiences, he continues his literary practice, focusing on his homeland and its people.
