'Under Water' is Sayantan Sadman's debut novel which is stimulating and engaging for its complex interplay of psychological reality, saturated tapestry of emotions, frustrations and reactions. It was very difficult for me to take a pause while reading the script of the novel. An appalling tragedy seems to be overshadowed by psychological reality in this novel, when, after the death of the protagonist's best friend, reality begins to apparently distort around him. The way the novelist raises the issues of social maladies and psychological disorders is commendable. 'Under Water' is a taut, gripping novel; the narrative is written in richly poetic and sensuous language.

Sayantan Sadman

Sayantan Sadman (born 27 December, 2001) is your average guy from an average household in Dhaka, Bangladesh. As of writing this book, he's a student, having passed HSC exams from Notre Dame College, Dhaka. His interests include cheesy '80s movies, video games, music, and too-spicy food that he usually immediately regrets eating. He sincerely hopes you enjoy this book.
