Legacy of Abba

Abba, Kazi Nazimuddin Omar was a quintessential teacher, highly respected and beloved by his students, who affectionately called him "Omar Sir." Born on March 11, 1918, in Salar, Murshidabad, towards the end of World War I, his life was marked by both challenges and triumphs, across three nations. This book aims to capture the essence of his life, reflecting both the good times and the more difficult moments. The narrative delves into the socio-political landscape before and after British rule in India, offering a glimpse into the context that influenced Abba's life. Kazi Nazimuddin Omar instilled a love for education in his children and ensured that they incorporated broader fields of knowledge into their learning. The focus of this work is primarily on Abba's life and significant events in the lives of his children. Well into his retirement, Abba continued his literary pursuits. writing regular columns on philosophy and literature for local newspapers until his death in June 1992, at the age of 74.
