Abul Fazal
আবুল ফজল মননশীল চিন্তাবিদ, শিক্ষাব্রতী, মানবদরদি আবুল ফজলের জন্ম ১৯০৩ সালের পহেলা জুলাই। বাবা মৌলানা ফজলুর রহমান ছিলেন বিজ্ঞ আলেম। ১৯২৩ সালে নিউস্কিম মাদ্রাসা থেকে প্রবেশিকা ও ১৯২৫তে ঢাকা ইসলামিক ইন্টারমিডিয়েট কলেজ থেকে ইন্টারমিডিয়েট পাস করেন। ১৯২৮-এ ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে বি.এ. এবং ১৯২৯-এ ঢাকা টিচার্স ট্রেনিং কলেজ থেকে বিটি পাস করেন। এগার বছর পর ১৯৪০-এ কলকাতা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে এম. এ. পাস করেন। স্কুল-কলেজে চাকরি করেছেন। চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য ছিলেন। বাংলাদেশ সরকারের শিক্ষা উপদেষ্টা হিসেবেও কাজ করেছেন। মুক্তবুদ্ধির চিরসজাগ প্রহরী আবুল ফজল জাতির সংকট মুহূর্তে নির্ভীক ভূমিকা পালন করেছেন। বাংলা সাহিত্যে তাঁর অবদানের জন্য ভূষিত হয়েছেন বাংলা একাডেমী পুরস্কার, রাষ্ট্রিয় সাহিত্য পুরস্কার ও সমকাল পুরস্কারে । ১৯৭৫-এ পেয়েছেন সম্মানসূচক ডক্টরেট ডিগ্রি । ১৯৮৩, ৪ মে, রাত ১১টা ১৫ মিনিটে তিনি শেষ নিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন।

Will Durant November 5, 1885 – November 7, 1981) was an American writer, historian, and philosopher. He became best known for his work The Story of Civilization, 11 volumes written in collaboration with his wife, Ariel Durant, and published between 1935 and 1975. He was earlier noted for The Story of Philosophy (1926), described as "a groundbreaking work that helped to popularize philosophy".[ He conceived of philosophy as total perspective or seeing things sub specie totius (i.e. “from the perspective of the whole”)a phrase inspired by Spinoza's sub specie aeternitatis, roughly meaning "from the perspective of the eternal He sought to unify and humanize the great body of historical knowledge, which had grown voluminous and become fragmented into esoteric specialties, and to vitalize it for contemporary application.
